بناء على كتاب سكرتير حكومة دولة الكويت رقم س / 221 / 508 بتاريخ 9/3/1955 الموجه إلى رئيس الأشغال العامة والمتضمن موافقة صاحب السمو الأمير بمنح أرض مجانية لبناء كنيسة للطائفة الكاثوليكية في الكويت

فقد وافق مجلس الإنشاء في جلسته رقم 206 بتاريخ 30/5/1955 على تخصيص أرض مجانية لبناء كنيسة للطائفة الكاثوليكية في الكويت

تم ترخيص بناء الكنيسة يموجب الخريطة رقم 471 بتاريخ 4/3/1962

تم تأجير أرض الكنيسة بموجب كتاب أمين عام مجلس الوزراء إلى وزير المالية رقم 312/451 بتاريخ 25/3/1967 بسعر رمزي قدره دينار واحد سنوياً وذلك لعدم جواز تسجيل الأرض باسم الكنيسة

تقع الكنيسة ضمن مشروع منطقة القبلة التي هي قيد الدراسة التنظيمية حالياً وتقرر نقلها إلى موقع بديل بموجب قرار المجلس البلدي رقم م ب 73 / 9 / 80 بتاريخ 14/4/1980
