فيما يخص الحرية النقابية للعمال واجهت الجزائر منعطفا خطيرا، حينما تعرض العديد من العمال للاعتقال نتيجة نشاطهم النقابي،,الدليل على ذلك ما حصل في السادس من شهر فبراير عندما اقدم ما يزيد عن (300)عنصر من قوات الامن الجزائرية على محاصرة مقر دار النقابات التابعة للكونفدرالية العامة المستقلة لعمال الجزائر،
