وتهدف المحاسبة على الإيرادات الى تطبيق الإجراءات المحاسبية في تسجيل الإيرادات بناءً على القواعد المحاسبية المتعارف عليها والتي تقتضي بالاعتراف بالإيراد عند تحققه بغض النظر عن مصادر التمويل فيما عدا الإيرادات والمنح الحكومية والخارجية حيث يعترف بها عند استلامها لان الاستلام يعتبر شرط لتحقق الايراد .
