Abstract Study the impact of non-performing loans in commercial banks where performance was a study in the influence of non-performing loans in commercial banks through an analytical study on the performance of the Bank of Jordan for a (2001-2010) terms are the research performance indicators of liquidity, profitability, credit facilities, size and significance in how the commercial banks to reduce the risk of non-performing loans in commercial banks , And stems the importance of focusing on the most important problems facing banks and from the most important recruit for its money and is a problem of non-performing loans. this study aimed to analyze the problem of non-performing loans in commercial banks through some financial indicators of (the size of the credit facilities granted, the volume of non-performing loans, and declining allocations approved) and also describe the impact of the loans in commercial banks in JordanThe descriptive study followed. so were the collection of data of time series for the period (2001-2010) of the Bank of Jordan through World Bank publications of annual reports and other publications for the period referred to uphold and processed using a program (the SPSS 17). The study found the number of results that there are good and positive relationship between non-performing loans and credit facilities. As well as acceptable and positive relationship between non-performing loans and liquidity. Analysis showed a weak positive between NPL and profitability, this result may be due to the nature of the data and calculation of the Bank of Jordan and the study found a number of recommendations including the need for disclosure of non-performing loans at all banks and credit concentration policy, both at the level of individuals and sectors or companies, and a credit decision based on economic feasibility studies of projects funded , And rely on the cash flow of the project not only as a guarantee for the repayment of loans.
