التعليم الثانوي العام: 2.1 مليون تلميذ بمرحلة الثانوي العام بنسبة 8.7% من اجمالي المراحل التعليمية، (منهم 1.8 مليون تلميذ بنسبة 7.8% بالتربية والتعليم، و 354.9 ألف تلميذ بنسبة 20.3% من اجمالي مراحل التعليم الأزهري) عام 2018/2019 . وقد بلغت نسبة الناجحين في الشعبة العلمية 59.4%، أما نسبة الناجحين في الشعبة الأدبية وصلت لـ 40.6% من اجمالي الناجحين في المرحلة الثانوية العامة 2018/2019 .
