والمسعودى وأبن الأثير من مثل هذه الأقاصيص , لما ذكر ابن هشام واحدة منها
لم يكن مصدقا لها وقال (ويزعمون فيما يتحدث الناس والله أعلم)
وتتأرجح روايات المؤرخين في تحديد مولده صلى الله عليه و سلم
وهل ولد يوم الثاني أو الثامن أو الثاني عشر وهل كان في شهر صفرأو ربيع الأول
وهل ولد ليلا أو نهارا , وصيفا أم ربيعا وهل كان في عام الفيل أم قبله أم بعده
والمشهور أنة ولد في فجر يوم الاثنين التاسع من شهر ربيع الأول عام الفيل
ويرى الباحثون أن عام الفيل غير معروف على وجه التحديد
هل كان في عام 522م أو 563م أو570 أو 571م فبحثوا عن تاريخ ثابت محقق
يمكن على أساسه تحديد مولد الرسول صلى الله عليه و سلم فوجدوا أن
أول تاريخ تحقيقه هو تاريخ الهجرة في سنة 622م وعلى هذا يمكن التوفيق
