وفي سنة 1923 م عمت الاضطرابات البحرين بعد أن تصادمت قبيلة الدواسر بالبحارنة ، وقد كان الدواسر يعيشون في البحرين بشكل شبه مستقل عن آل خليفة منذ قدومهم إلى البحرين من شرق الجزيرة العربية سنة 1845 م، فقام البريطانيون بإجبار الدواسر على الجلاء عن البحرين في ذلك العام وغادر معظمهم إلى الدمام على الساحل المقابل
