استقبل سعادة الدكتور علي بن سعود البيماني رئيس جامعة السلطان قابوس أمس معالي الدكتور داينيوس بيفليكس وزير التعليم والعلوم الليتواني والوفد المرافق له.
واستعرض رئيس الجامعة أهم البرامج الأكاديمية والكليات بالجامعة وأهم الجوانب التي تركز عليها الجامعة وهي التدريس والبحث العلمي، وخدمة المجتمع، والتعاون الدولي.
وتم خلال اللقاء استعراض العلاقات الأكاديمية والدولية التي تربط جامعة السلطان قابوس مع العديد من الجامعات والمراكز العلمية والبحثية حول العالم.
وأكد الجانبان على أهمية التعاون العلمي والبحثي في المجالات العلمية المختلفة، وإقامة البحوث العلمية المشتركة ، وتبادل الأساتذة والطلاب ، وأشار الجانبان إلى مجالات التعاون وخاصة في المجال الطبي، والطاقة الشمسية، وتعليم اللغة العربية، والموسيقى.
من جهته أشاد معالي الدكتور داينيوس بيفليكس وزير التعليم والعلوم الليتواني بالجامعة والنشاط العلمي والبحثي فيها وأشار إلى التعليم في ليتوانيا واهتمام المؤسسات بالجانب العملي وتطرق إلى أهم التخصصات والبرامج التي تحتضنها هذه المؤسسات.
