للموظف أن يستقيل من وظيفته، بعد إخطار القناة كتابةً ومراعاة فترة الإخطار المناسبة بالإضافة الى ما يلى:
1. يشترط لقبول الإستقالة أن تكون مكتوبة وخالية من أي قيد أو شرط ومحدداً بها تاريخ إنتهاء الخدمة،
2. مقابلة الموظف المستقيل والتحري عن أسباب الإستقالة من قِبَل مدير الوحدة التنظيمية المعنية و وحدة الموارد البشرية.
3. يجب البت فى طلب الإستقالة خلال شهر من تاريخ تقديمها وإلا إعتُبِرت مقبولة حكماً، ومع ذلك يجوز تأجيل قبول الإستقالة لأسباب تتعلق بمصلحة العمل ويجب على الموظف أن يستمر في عمله إلى أن يُخطر بقبول إستقالته أو ينتهي الأجل المذكور أنفاَ ، كما يجب ألا تكون هناك إجراءات تاديبية قيد النظر ضد الموظف وإلا فيؤجل قبول الإستقالة إلى حين إنتهاء الإجراءات وتطبيق الجزاءات المترتبة عليها.
