تأسست مجموعة السريع في عام (1953) واول مؤسس للشركة هو "عبدالله ناصر السريع" وذلك في " مكة المكرمة " وهي شركة سعودية, حيث بدأت المسيرة باستيراد السجاد اليدوي من العديد من الدول من الشرق الأوسط، وكانت الشركة من رواد المستوردين لهذه المنتجات, وتوجد الشركة الام لمجموعة السريع بمدينة جدة, وتوصف بأنها اعرق واقدم الشركات العاملة في انتاج وتصدير السجاد في منطقة الشرق الاوسط، حيث تحتل المجموعة حاليا المركز (19)عالميا في صناعة السجاد، وهو انجاز يضعها في اول الدول العريقة والمتقدمة في هذا المجال حيث وصل إنتاج مصانع المجموعة من السجاد والموكيت إلى أكثر من (40) مليون متر مربع سنوياً، وتمتلك الشركة ثلاثة مصانع: اثنين منها متخصص بصناعة السجاد، الاول بالسجاد الاعتيادي والثاني بالموكيت، والاخير بصناعة الخيوط الصناعية.
