تؤكد الهيئة على أن استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يمثل انتهاكًا للقانون الدولي الإنساني والقانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان. بل هو في الواقع السبب الجذري لجميع أعمال التصعيد والانتهاكات المستمرة لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني. لذا تدعو الهيئة إلى تضافر الجهود الدولية من أجل تمهيد الطريق لتسوية سياسية سلمية لإنهاء هذا الوضع الخطير والظلم المستمر ضد الشعب الفلسطيني، وبالتالي تمكينه من تحقيق تطلعاته المشروعة التي طال انتظارها وممارسة حقه في تقرير المصير وإقامة دولة مستقلة وقابلة للحياة وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
