Tell you about my two sons as you asked in your last letter .
Ma lcom has been working very hard all this year because he is sitting some exam inations, this month and he is to win to study history of the university of oxford.
Although the sun has been shining all day today . he has been sitting at home reading about history of French revaluation.
Fortunately he adors books especially history book, and he is not interested in game.
In any case he has not enough time for sport and he spends time and money on books.
His younger brother james is totally different he is bored with school and studing but is very keen in games .
He never stays in doors when the wither is reasonably fine, and today he has playing tennis for hours with his friends. He is fond of football but tennis is his favorite sport ,although he is only 16. He is the school champion he has already won several tournaments when he has old enough he hops to become professional players so he spends a lot of time practicing and trying to improve his game. His mother doesn’t really approve .
Ann has been busy lately making some .. .

Career prospects

Susan How have you two sons been doing at school lately An of Andy?
ANDY terrible James never stars working and Malcolm never stops working.
S Your are joking of course I hear that Malcolm is likely to win all the prizes in the exams all this year .
A Yes , is teachers say . but deserves to do well. He is always been so conscientious and hard working and he has been slaving at his books every evening for months on and recently. He wants go to oxford university next year.
S Maybe he will become a university lecture himself eventually.
A Maybe . but I think he studies very hard;I sometimes wish he had go out and enjoy himself for a change.
S yes …. What about a younger one ?
A Well, James, teacher say that he has ability but he has too inconsistent and that he rarely does his best .
In other words , he has not bad when he makes an effort, but he has too idle. He could not care less about exams. He does his homework in ten minutes every evening and rushes out to play tennis .
S he has crazy about tennis .is not he? Perhaps he can make his fortune at it. You can make more money from sport than from an old- fashioned profession these days.
A So I believe. But my wife always worries about the children’s future. She wants James o give up tennis and study law. but I don’t believe in forcing boys to take up careers they are not cut out for . I wonder how James will develop in a couple of years. time

M WHAT DID YOU THING ABOUT OF THE EXAMS, PETE? I ROCKEN THEY WERE DEAD EASY.
P MAYBE THEY WERE EASY ENOUGH FOR YOU BUT THEY WERE MUCH HARD FOR ME .
M OH .COME ON ,YOU HAVE PROBABLY DONE BETTER THAN YOU THINK .
P NO, I DEAD CERTAIN I HAVE FALIED IN LATIN AND MOST LIKELY IN FRENCH AND HISTORY TOO THANK GOODNESS IT IS ALL OVER THOUGHT WE CAN FORGET ABOUT IT NOW- AT LEAST UNTIL THE RESULTS COME OUT.
M YES, NOW I CAN GET WITH READING ALL THE BOOKES I HAVE BEEN WATINIG TO READ MONTHS BUT HAVE NOT HAD TIME FOR.
P WHAT …. WELL IT IS UP TO YOU , I SUPPOSE , BUT I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF READING I AM NOT GOING TO OPEN ANOTHER BOOK FOR MONTHES.DONT YOU THINK WE ALL DESERVE A BREAK?
M WELL YES I WILL TAKE A DAY OR TWO OFF PERHPES . AND I THINK I WILL COME TO BOB,S SISTER,S PARTY TOMORROW NIGHT UT IF I AMGOING TO UNIVERSITY IN OCTOBER I WELL HAVE TO GET DOWN TO SOME SERIOUS WORK AGAIN PRETTY SOON.
P I HAVE GOT TO GET THROUGH THE A LEVEL EXAMS FIRST. I WELL WORRY ABOUT UNIVERSITY IF AND WHEN I EVER GET THERE THAT’S THE TROUBLE WTHE YOU .YOU ALWAYS TRY TO DO EVERY THING AT THE LEAST MINUTE . AND YOU ARE TO SERIOUS , THAT’S YOUR TROUBLE. YOU NEVER STOP SWOTTING .

P AND I CAN NOT STAND IT. I DON’T KNOW WHY I DECIDED TO TRY TO GO TO UNIVERSITY IN THE FIRST PLACE . I THINK I WILL RUN AWAY AND JOIN THE ARMY OR SOMETHING.
