الطب (باللاتينية: ars medicina)، أي فن العلاج؛ هو العلم الذي يجمع خبرات الإنسانية في الاهتمام بالإنسان (اوالحيوان) ، وما يعتريه من اعتلال وأمراض وإصابات تنال من بدنه أو نفسيته أو المحيط الذي يعيش فيه، ويحاول ايجاد العلاج بشقيه الدوائي والجراحي وإجرائه على المريض. كما يتناول الطب الظروف التي تشجع على حدوث الأمراض وطرق تفاديها والوقاية منها،
