بموجب قرار من المدير العام يتم البدء في إجراءات التحضير لجرد المخزون وتشكيل لجنة الجرد.يقوم المحاسب المسئول بطباعة قائمة المخزون المحدثة بأي عمليات صرف او استلام وإرسالها إلى لجنة الجرد. قيام لجنة الجرد المشكلة بعملية الجرد وتوزيع المهام من قبل لجنة الجرد وتحرير محضر الجرد واعتماده.يقوم المحاسب المسئول بمراجعة الفروقات في الجرد والتحقق من الأسباب وإبداء الراي حولها ومناقشة ذلك مع لجنة الجرد.يقوم رئيس الحسابات بمراجعة واعتماد عملية الجرد كاملة من اللجنة.يقوم المحاسب بإدخال الحركات المتعلقة بالجرد في النظام بالحاسب الآلي.
