الحج حديثاً

أصبح اليوم الحج ميسرًا لكل من أراد الحج فالإنسان مهما بعدت به المسافات فهو خلال ساعات معدودة يستطيع أن يصل إلى بلاد الحرمين الشريفين.

فمن جهتها لم تدخر المملكة العربية السعودية جهدًا في تيسير كل شيء على الحجيج، وبذلت المملكة ما في وسعها للارتقاء بالخدمات المختلفة الرامية إلى خدمة ضيوف الرحمن، وقد كان من أهم الأمور آنذاك الحفاظ على أمن الحجاج، وتقديم ما يمكن من خدمات صحية في ذلك الوقت، فقد اهتم الملك عبد العزيز على تتبع الأحوال الصحية للحجاج وتفقد أحوالهم منذ أول عام للحج تحت رعايته، حيث خصص لذلك مقراً طبياً لمعاينة المرضى خاصة الفقراء منهم، وأصدر توجيهاته لنائبه في الحجاز عام 1344 هـ في الشأن.

كما حرص الملك عبد العزيز، رحمه الله، على الارتقاء بالخدمات المقدمة للحج والحجيج وأمر في العام 1347 هـ بتأسيس مدرسة لتعليم المطوفين ونوابهم، يتلقون فيها دروساً في علم التوحيد، والعبادات، والمناسك وأدائها حسب ما دونه علماء السلف والأئمة الأربعة.

وتم افتتاح العين العزيزية التي كانت خير رافد يمد الحجاج والمقيمين في مكة المكرمة بالمياه العذبة منذ شوال عام 1371 هجري, كما تم العمل على تسخير الكثير من الخدمات لضيوف الرحمن حسب الإمكانيات المتوفرة آنذاك.
