يقع الحرم الإبراهيمي في مدينة الخليل، وقد سمي بهذا الاسم نسبة إلى نبي الله إبراهيم -عليه السلام- الذي دفن فيه، ويأتي المسجد الإبراهيمي في المرتبة الثانية بعد المسجد الأقصى أهم معلم إسلامي في فلسطين، وقد اكتسب المسجد أهميته عند المسلمين لوجود قبور الأنبياء إبراهيم، وإسحق، ويعقوب، وفي عام 1994م ارتكب المستوطن اليهودي باروخ جولدشتاين بإذن القوات الإسرائيلية مذبحة بحق المسلمين الذين كانوا يصلّون صلاة الفجر، فقَتَل 29 فلسطينياً، وأصاب أكثر من 150 آخرين بجروح، وفيما بعد قسمت إسرائيل المسجد لتعتبر جزءاً منه كنيس يهودي.
