يسعى هذا البحث الموسوم بـــ " جدل التُّراث و الحداثة في نقد محمد بنِّيس " إلى الكشف عن مظاهر التُّراث والحداثة في المشروع النقدي لمحمد بنِّيس ؛ ذلك لأنَّه يعتمد الشِّعريَّة العربيَّة المفتوحة كمنهج انتقائيٍّ ، يرجع إلى التُّراث النقـــــديِّ العربيِّ ، ولا يقتصر عليه ، بل يتجاوزه إلى التُّراث الهنديِّ واليونانيِّ و الصِّينيِّ ، كما أنَّـــه ينهل من الحداثة الغربية متوسِّلا بمناهجها " البنيويَّة التكوينيَّـــــــة " ، و" الشِّعريـَّــــــــــة " و" الدَّلائليَّة " .
